What I Read In 2016

By

Many of my readers are used to finding this list on Facebook, so thank you so much for making your way to my site in order to read this! I know this is pretty late, but 2016 was CRAZY. I, once again, did not quite meet my goal of reading 50 books in a year. As a matter of fact, this may have been one of my worst years to date. However, I feel like I have many good reasons for this! I had a really cool nanny job, and then that job ended. I almost went back to school, and then decided that wasn’t the right decision for me. I moved more  into the world of public speaking and even had the opportunity to speak at a women’s event in Breckenridge, CO! I began volunteering more than before, which eventually resulted in a new job (yay!) and I spent a lot of time writing! I worked on a FEW books (did you catch that?! A FEW!!! Not just one anymore!) and I started this blog! We got a second kitten (if you don’t think this took a lot of my focus and work, you don’t have a rambunctious kitten) and Josh and I moved into a few leadership positions in our church. There’s so much more, but I think you get the idea! I spent 2016 living! Part of living was DEFINITELY reading! It is still a love and passion of mine! As always, this list does not encompass all of my reading, only the books that I read 100% of the content. And they are not necessarily listed in order, although I did try to get as close as possible. Also, you may notice from this list that I seem to have gone down memory lane with my reading this past year. It’s true! I’m slightly embarrassed about some of the titles you’ll see, but you know what? I like what I like, and it was enjoyable going through some of my older books and loving them! If you have any questions about this list or my writing, let me know! And I would love to have a conversation about what you’ve been reading! OH, and my goal for 2017 is still 50 books. I WILL do this someday!!! I hope you enjoy perusing this list, and maybe it will even inspire you to do some more reading! Do you have specific reading goals for 2017? Let me know in the comments!

Hey still better than me! 2016 was maybe my worst year of reading EVER. I read 2 books: The Only Pirate at the Party (hey same!) and The Cursed Child which I almost wish I’d never read. Ugh. So far already beat that for this year so hopefully I’ll never have a year like that again!
